Cable Knit Jumper Knitting Pattern

This pattern is my pride and joy, and I am over the moon for you to be able to create your own chunky cable knit jumpers in the colour and size of your choice!

The pattern is straightforward to follow, it uses a mix of intermediate level techniques (such as basic cabling) you can find extra direction and help over on my Knitting Knowledge page which covers it all in more detail should you need a helping hand, and then you'll be able to make a statement with your chunky jumper - however you wear it, wear it well!

Why not knit one up for your favourite person in your life, it would make the most stunning gift!

Please note that this knitting pattern is for personal use only and not for resale in any capacity. It is a downloadable file and does not include any of the materials required to make the jumper. There is a knitting kit for this pattern available on my site should you want the needles and yarn also.

I now have a Facebook group for those of you who have bought a kit or pattern from me, so please do come and show me your knits!

Skill level:

Knit, Purl, cabling (+some basic shaping)

What you need:

None of the following is included:

Small: approximately 800g Super Chunky Yarn in the colour of your choice by Lauren Aston Designs

Medium/Large: approximately 1kg Super Chunky Yarn in the colour of your choice by Lauren Aston Designs

Tapestry needle

10mm knitting needles / 12mm knitting needles / cable or double pointed needle

Small: UK 8-10 (56cm wide x 56cm long)

Medium: UK 12-14 (60cm wide x 66cm long)

Large: UK 16-18 (66cm wide x 66cm long)

Small size shown in images.

The jumper is designed to be loose fitting and baggy. If you want it to be more fitted it's best to size down - for instance a medium would fit size 16-18 nicely as a tighter fitting sweater and the large would fit someone who's a size 22 just not so baggy.
