Hello Friends!
So, it’s the royal wedding coming up this weekend and to be totally honest I don’t know if I’m excited or not – I feel like I’m a step away from not giving a single **** and equally a step away from watching it in my own wedding dress with a glass of champagne (gin, it would be gin but champers sounds more fancy for the occasion, plus day drinking champagne is more acceptable)…. the point being, it could go either way at this stage.
Weddings + Big Knits = YAS
But it did get me thinking about weddings, and as with all things, I manage to bring it back to chunky knits! For my own wedding a few years ago I made a few blankets in the wedding colours and put them out in the evening so that guests wouldn’t freeze outside. It was so nice seeing everyone snug and warm under them however I totally appreciate not everyone will want to splash out on 4 different coloured lap blankets just in case their guests get nippy (bring a coat people!) but I’ve been lucky enough to have some of my blankets featured in a few wedding shoots and blogs lately, and they looked absolutely beautiful so I thought I’d share them on this wedding themed week…. side note – it’s also a brilliant way to treat yourself to a blanket if you’ve been after one… use it in the wedding and keep it for life.
Classic modern
The first one features a classic white blanket in a beautiful barn setting but the other styling is wonderfully modern….

It’s not just white blankets that look amazing at weddings though, this delicious autumnal wedding shoot uses a Ruby Red lap blanket and OMG doesn’t it look amazing!…

Not Just Blankets
If you’re not after a blanket but wanted some chunky knit texture on the day whether you’re the bride or a guest then the Chunky Knit Capes add an amazing, luxurious texture and come in a huge array of colours. I wear mine over my coat in winter and on it’s own in spring, autumn and (let’s face it) Summer.
Ok that’s enough wedding chat for now!
Take care friends,
