Blooms, Brights, Christmas, Mink & Pink, Ombre, Rainbow, Tonal, Unicorn
These dreamy offcuts are perfect for so many craft projects, they add brilliant texture to weaves and because they’re 100% Merino wool they also felt beautifully. They’re lovely for adding a dash of colour and fun to presents – I often pop a little woollen bow on gifts when I’m wrapping – and they’re a great addition to a sketchbook for inspiration or anything you can dream up!
They are simply the left over pieces of yarn (both Giant and Jumbo) from when I’m knitting and rather than let them go to waste I’ve colour coordinated them and popped them in a box. The cost purely covers the postage, packaging and time so the wool is effectively free… I’d love to see what you make/do with them please do send your pictures my way!
Because they’re just the remnants, they’re a real mix of lengths and colours with no guarantee a certain colour will be in the box. The images are a representation of examples I’ve made up and not specific to every single box.
*My favourite part of the offcuts you ask?* – That would be that all profits go to Anti-bullying charity Ditch The Label to help support young people, overcome bullying and build equality because all those things should be happening in the world. By choosing to purchase LAD’s offcuts not only are you making use of my woolly waste but you’re also doing good and donating to a wonderful charity. Essentially – you are wonderful. Thank you <3
Available in 5 colours ways:
Brights – Fabulously colourful, mainly main up of pinks, mustards a splash of turquoise and some light greys/blues
Unicorn – all the pastels you could dream of, soft pinks, lilacs, mint and a hint of some strong colours to make them pop
Tonal – an autumnal themed box with all the jewel tones and rich colours I can find. Plenty of the mink blush, deep blues, teal, damson and another hint of coral to bring out the tones
Christmas – probably needs no explanation, a very traditional Red, white and green box for the season and some beautiful greys thrown in as well.
Pink&Mink – They just looked too good together to not get their own box. A flash of cream is also thrown in simply because I think it looks great!
We source our yarn from happy sheep. Due to its many magical properties and the fact that Lauren is allergic to a lot of other wool, we only use Merino.
Merino sheep are not native to this country so the wool itself is provided from farms around the world, however we are very careful where we do source our fibre from. Our Merino is from South America and the South African Cape and we don’t buy from farms that mules their sheep.
The best quality wool comes from happy sheep. If a sheep has a poor diet and general poor health its fleece will suffer. Both the quality of life for the sheep and the quality of wool it produces are hugely important to us. We have strong relationships with our suppliers to ensure that we can trust them and their practices. Merinos shearers are all trained well to do it as efficiently and kindly as possible and the sheep are a lot happier once their 5kg fleeces are off!
Due to current circumstances we are not currently able to provide yarn wound into balls. This option will be back soon!
