Available in the colour of your choice each of these chunky knit capes is hand knit to order on huge needles using beautiful quality and deliciously soft merino wool.

Knit in a textured moss stitch that adds an irresistibly cosy tactility, this snood-style scarf wraps around the shoulders and ties with a light grey grosgrain ribbon bow.

Perfect for all those Christmas parties, or to give as a beautiful Christmas gift to a loved one, these capes can be ordered in a classic white or go bright by choosing one of the many colours I have on offer!

Ideal for a stylish, elegant and up to date winter wardrobe, this cape can be worn over a coat or simply as an additional layer to compliment your outfit. The thick wool will keep you warm and cosy even in the coldest months and the ribbon tie is purposefully designed so that you can adjust the fit to suit you. For example, if you’re after a more snood style to keep your neck warm then simply re-tie the ribbon so it’s a closer fit.

Each cape is made to order, and if we don’t have your chosen yarn colour in stock there may be a short wait for it to arrive. We like to allow at least two weeks from order to despatch. If you have any questions about delivery please do get in touch.

The Cape is one size and as mentioned can be adjusted to fit in different ways if needed.

Measures approximately 40cm x 85cm

100% Merino wool

As with all my products the Capes and Scarfs are hand knitted using gorgeous unspun Merino wool. Once each item has been knitted I hand process it to partially bond the fibres together yet still keep the soft and lovely natural qualities of the wool.

Just as, if you bought a beautiful cardigan, the more you wear it the more it may begin to pill, pilling can be cut or shaved off accordingly and is not a defect, it’s simply a natural result of friction that occurs when using fibres. Spot clean any spills and dry clean when necessary.

Weight0.75 kg

We source our Merino yarn from happy sheep.

Merino sheep are not native to this country so the wool itself is provided from farms around the world, however, we are very careful where we do source our fibre from. Our Merino is from South America and the South African Cape and we don’t buy from farms that mules their sheep.

The best quality of wool comes from happy sheep.  If a sheep has a poor diet and general poor health its fleece will suffer. Both the quality of life for the sheep and the quality of wool it produces are hugely important to us. We have strong relationships with our suppliers to ensure that we can trust them and their practices. Merino shearers are all trained well to do it as efficiently and kindly as possible and the sheep are a lot happier once their 5kg fleeces are off!
