Billing & Delivery…

Billing: The amount you’re billed will depend on how many hanks you opt for. You’ll receive that number of hanks in every box, the price will not change and will automatically be charged on your billing date. Your billing date will depend on the original order date ie If you place your initial subscription order on January 15th your next billing date will be 3 months later on April 15th and continue every 3 months until/if you decide to cancel your subscription. You’ll be able to see your billing date and other subscription details on your account and via the initial order email once you’ve signed up.

Delivery: The subscription boxes will be packed on the 1st Tuesday of every despatch month (February, May, August, November) we will work in 3-month cycles for despatch – so for instance, if your initial subscription order is placed before February 1st you’ll receive Box 1 and all following boxes; Whereas if your initial subscription order is February 6th (which is past the Box 1 deadline) the first box you’ll receive will be Box 2 around the first week of May, your following bill would be May 6th for Box 3 with delivery at the beginning of August.

Deadlines (only applicable to your initial subscription order! Once you’ve subscribed they will automatically continue):

2023

Box 1: Leaves Early February – order by January 31st to get this box

Box 2: Leaves Early May – order by April 30th to get this box

Box 3: Leaves Early August – order by July 31st to get this box

Box 4: Leaves Early November – order by October 31st to get this box

Please also bear in mind that we need to order the yarn in as it’s limited edition so if you order right before a deadline there’s a chance you’re order will be despatched a few days late however we promise to get it out as quickly as possible.

Things to make…

I’ve published a blog on ‘Things To Knit with your Sub Box’ in case you need some inspiration.

You can make so many things with 1 hank or why not use a few hanks in different colours for one project. Small gifts are perfect, you could make hats, gloves, snoods, cuffs, purses, home decorations, hot water bottles pompoms and loads more with just one hank, or mix two or more colours and knit up a cushion, a blanket, a jumper (with different colours on the front, back and sleeves!) use any existing pattern and get creative with your colours. Or if you want more hanks in one colour you can use the exclusive link included in each box to order more. Some kits contain patterns (all suitable for beginners) for inspiration and motivation and with Pinterest and Ravelry a click away you’ll never be short of ideas for your yarn!

A few things to note…

-The colours are set in advance and can’t be altered, we won’t be able to chop and change which colours come in your box it will be the set colours for that season as shown in the colour chart in the images. If you opt for 3 hanks then you’ll receive the first 3 colours and so on.

-The amount can’t be altered month to month ie if you order a 3 hank box you will get 3 hanks in each box that’s delivered with the first 3 colours (see the colour chart in images for a breakdown) but you can always cancel your subscription and purchase a new one with a different amount of hanks.

We source our Merino yarn from happy sheep.

Merino sheep are not native to this country so the wool itself is provided from farms around the world, however, we are very careful where we do source our fibre from. Our Merino is from South America and the South African Cape and we don’t buy from farms that mules their sheep.

The best quality of wool comes from happy sheep.  If a sheep has a poor diet and general poor health its fleece will suffer. Both the quality of life for the sheep and the quality of wool it produces are hugely important to us. We have strong relationships with our suppliers to ensure that we can trust them and their practices. Merino shearers are all trained well to do it as efficiently and kindly as possible and the sheep are a lot happier once their 5kg fleeces are off!
