We really are obsessed with knitted vests right now. It seems as if it’s the perfect seasonal transition garm and we’re so here for it. And tbh, if it’s good enough for Taylor it’s good enough for us!

Lad Vest Knits
So, to kick off our knitty vest offering we thought we would start with our original ‘Simply The Vest’ Sweater Vest. Knit in the Lauren Aston Designs Super Chunky Yarn it’s super soft and striking and perfect for mid season dressing. You can choose to knit the neck line short or long for this very reason. It looks so great over a tee or floaty blouse.
Next up, we have the Purl-fest Vest Top which is a bit of a lighter design as it is made in our Lauren Aston Designs Mini Mohair Yarn. This is a fab project without any sewing up! The Mohair yarn lends itself to light summery knits with its beautiful lace effect. This vest can be effortlessly styled over jeans or shorts for a light weight, airy outfit.
Following on from the Pur-fect, we have the Super Purl-fect Vest Top. Which is a knit based on the original Purl-fect but adapted for our best selling Super Chunky Merino. Changing the yarn gives a really different effect. We’ve also given the option of a two-tone style for the neckline and sleeves to really make it pop! This is where you can really have fun choosing colours. We love throwing this over a summer dress for beach days or chillier evenings.
The Thomas the Tank Top is a really fun knit to wear. Knit in the round, you also have three options on length for different looks. This depends whether you want it cropped over a dress perhaps, or maybe you want it to be a bit baggier to hang over shorts or tuck into trousers. The pattern gives the option to knit stripes into the design, this is perfect for using up scraps!!
Last but not least, we have the latest edition to our vest gang, the ‘What a Frill’ Vest. This comes as both an adult and child pattern! The What a Frill is knit in our new(ish) Big Little Yarn, which is fully machine washable -game changer! This yarn also comes in some seriously fun, summer colours. This frilly number is really great again, thrown over a summer dress, on it’s own or over a tee. It can dress your outfit up or down!
We’re just loving this retro, vest look and the fact that they are just SO darn easy to wear!
