Pick Up and Knit, Shaping, Knit, Purl
The ultimate in personalised knitwear – what could be better than a beautifully soft, roll necked jumper with a striking initial on the front? Inspired by the famous Weasley Jumpers (but with a LAD twist!) – these gorgeous initial jumpers are perfect for the festive season or all winter round!
Adding an initial to our ‘Roll with It’ Jumper creates ‘Harry’s Favourite Jumper’! Have fun knitting them for your whole family so they can have fun wearing them! The pattern comes with colourwork grids for the whole alphabet and instructions so you can place your initial wherever you want on the pattern.
This kit is perfect for intermediate knitters – it uses a combination of knit & purl stitches and some basic shaping. However there are some ‘pick up and stitch’ techniques around the neckline – which is a useful to add to your knitting knowledge if you’ve not tried it before! There is also some basic colourwork knitting to do for the letter, but you’ll soon get the hang of it, and we’ve got lots of videos and help guides on our Knitting Knowledge page.
You can now choose to have your yarn in a hank or a ball!
Instead of spending your valuable time winding them yourself when you could be starting on your latest project, or having the worry of tangling up while you’re knitting, these balls are expertly and beautifully wound by us, for you.

We source our yarn from happy sheep. Due to its many magical properties and the fact that Lauren is allergic to a lot of other wool, we only use Merino.
Merino sheep are not native to this country so the wool itself is provided from farms around the world, however we are very careful where we do source our fibre from. Our Merino is from South America and the South African Cape and we don’t buy from farms that mules their sheep.
The best quality wool comes from happy sheep. If a sheep has a poor diet and general poor health its fleece will suffer. Both the quality of life for the sheep and the quality of wool it produces are hugely important to us. We have strong relationships with our suppliers to ensure that we can trust them and their practices. Merinos shearers are all trained well to do it as efficiently and kindly as possible and the sheep are a lot happier once their 5kg fleeces are off!
You can now choose to have your yarn in a hank or a ball!
Our Great Balls of Yarn are beautifully wound so you can start knitting straight away. Instead of spending your valuable time winding them yourself when you could be starting on your latest project, or having the worry of tangling up while you’re knitting, these balls are expertly and beautifully wound by us, for you.
Each hank/ball is around 200g (and 130m) and is best knit on 10mm-15mm needles.
If you choose to stick with hanks of yarn, most of our customers find it easier to wind them before knitting. Snip the ties holding the hank together and you’ll find the end of the yarn. Pop it over the back of a chair, a door handle or your knees and wind into a ball, before starting your knitting.
