Colour Work, Knit, Purl
This knit kit alphabet wall hanging contains everything you need to whip up a single letter banner – or spell out a whole name if you’re keen!!
The pattern uses a simple colourwork technique so it is suitable for an intermediate knitter – if you’ve knit any of our other colourwork products then this will be a breeze – the hardest thing is deciding on what colours to go for!
When you purchase the kit, you will get access to grid patterns for the whole alphabet and an ampersand (&) so you have the option of whatever letter you choose! All the initials are on a secret page on the website (you get all the details in your knitting pattern) so just follow the instructions in your kit and then follow the gridwork for your chosen letter on the website.
Choose from all 25 of our super chunky yarn colours for your background and your letter colour, and then decide if you want to make it even more fabulous by adding pompoms! You can add a 35mm pompom maker to your kit and there will be enough yarn to add pompoms in both you background and colours. Otherwise, you can go bonkers and add (our personal fave) a rainbow pompom set!
Our knit kit Alphabet Wall Hanging is perfect for all ages to add texture and colour – add to a gallery wall for interest or hang in your child’s room. Knit a single letter, spell out a word, or use the ‘&’ to knit 2 initials together.

We source our Merino yarn from happy sheep.
Merino sheep are not native to this country so the wool itself is provided from farms around the world, however, we are very careful where we do source our fibre from. Our Merino is from South America and the South African Cape and we don’t buy from farms that mules their sheep.
The best quality of wool comes from happy sheep. If a sheep has a poor diet and general poor health its fleece will suffer. Both the quality of life for the sheep and the quality of wool it produces are hugely important to us. We have strong relationships with our suppliers to ensure that we can trust them and their practices. Merino shearers are all trained well to do it as efficiently and kindly as possible and the sheep are a lot happier once their 5kg fleeces are off!
