12 Days of Christmas, Advent Calendar
Why not make yourself or someone you love a super special advent garland this Christmas? A thoughtful keepsake to bring out every year to fill with gifts or messages and hang on your wall, mantel or around the room!
Everything you need is included in the kit – Choose from ‘12 days of Christmas’ or the full Advent garland. The kit comes with a ball of red yarn and instructions on how to chain stitch so you can number or decorate your stockings. Once you’ve whipped them up you can fill your wee stockings with gifts, treats or messages for you or your family. Create beautiful memories and relive the joy year on year knowing you’ve made something so marvellous and thoughtful – my word, you’re great!
This advent kit is made with Merino wool yarn, it comes in Natural white with a ball of Ruby Red for the embellishment. If you’d like to make mini stockings in a different colour, there’s another listing in the DIY section for just that!
We’ve written a blog post with ideas of how to hang your advent garland, and what to fill it with – we’ve even got some free downloadable messages you can print off and pop in your stockings! You can find it here.
Each stocking is approx. 13cm long and 6.5-9cm wide (depending on area measured)
Be careful not to waste too much yarn as you go as there should be just enough for your kit.

We source our yarn from happy sheep. Due to its many magical properties and the fact that Lauren is allergic to a lot of other wool, we only use Merino.
Merino sheep are not native to this country so the wool itself is provided from farms around the world, however we are very careful where we do source our fibre from. Our Merino is from South America and the South African Cape and we don’t buy from farms that mules their sheep.
The best quality wool comes from happy sheep. If a sheep has a poor diet and general poor health its fleece will suffer. Both the quality of life for the sheep and the quality of wool it produces are hugely important to us. We have strong relationships with our suppliers to ensure that we can trust them and their practices. Merinos shearers are all trained well to do it as efficiently and kindly as possible and the sheep are a lot happier once their 5kg fleeces are off!
Due to current circumstances we are not currently able to provide yarn wound into balls. This option will be back soon!
