Beginners knit kit. Christmas Tree Topper. Gold Crown. Mic Drop.

Whether you’re a new knitter or been at it for years this Crown Christmas Tree Topper kit will bring you joy! It has everything you need to learn how to make a knitted crown then attach it to the specially designed frame – so it sits like a halo, hovering above the top of your tree. You then get to bring out your Crown Tree Topper every year to enjoy and show off what a knitting genius you are.

The frame is made by hand, just for us by the lovely team at The Letter Loft from gold powder coated stainless steel. You can whip up your crown in any of the 25 colours of lovely Merino wool yarn we have available, go for ‘Gold’ (mustard) or match your festive theme whatever colour that might be! Add a personalisation kit if you’d like to ‘write’ on it in another colour, it’s super easy and makes it really unique.

All our kits come in a 100% natural cotton, ethically sourced LAD bag stuffed to the brim with;

  • 50g Super Chunky Merino Yarn by Lauren Aston Designs
  • Tree topper frame – stainless steel in powder-coated gold
  • Full instructions and pattern
  • (optional) 10mm short knitting needles
  • (optional) Tapestry Needle

We source our Merino yarn from happy sheep.

Merino sheep are not native to this country so the wool itself is provided from farms around the world, however, we are very careful where we do source our fibre from. Our Merino is from South America and the South African Cape and we don’t buy from farms that mules their sheep.

The best quality of wool comes from happy sheep.  If a sheep has a poor diet and general poor health its fleece will suffer. Both the quality of life for the sheep and the quality of wool it produces are hugely important to us. We have strong relationships with our suppliers to ensure that we can trust them and their practices. Merino shearers are all trained well to do it as efficiently and kindly as possible and the sheep are a lot happier once their 5kg fleeces are off!

    Loved making this alternative to a star topper. Would be great for individual crowns for crackers too!
