10mm Circular (40cm Cord)
Increase (Kfb), K2Tog, Knit, Rib (Knit & Purl)
Bonnet & Hood
Welcome to the hood life! This intermediate pattern gives you two hats in one, and can be made in a couple of hours.
Knit in a lovely textured purl stitch, the bonnet has long ties so you can wear it loose in a relaxed bohemian style, or tie in a bow. The balaclava style hood has a cosy neck to keep you warm and looks great worn under a jacket.
Both styles are knit back and forth on circular needles, with the hood finishing off in the round while you knit the neck. The back decreases in a lovely style so it’s great from all angles! The hood even looks stylish worn down if it gets too warm.
One size only which fits all the LAD head sizes (and there are quite an array here!)
We crocheted the chains which you can also do (you have an option of adding a crochet hook to your kit) or you can plait the yarn if you’d prefer. You can even sew on a length of ribbon if you wanted.
Chloe wears the Hood in Pewter Brown & Damson and the Bonnet in Olive & Terracotta (these are two of our limited edition colours)
