This plush & pretty giant pompom blanket can be created within a matter of hours with this knitting pattern. Using less than 2kg of Giant LAD yarn it is perfect for a knitting beginner and the giant wool is a joy to use!
Using just knit and purl you can make this blanket within 3 hours. Add a selection of pompoms along the edge of the blanket – using the same colour or a mixture of complementing or contrasting colours. Add fun and colour in your home with this giant pompom blanket, perfect on a bed or chair.
If you’ve not done giant knitting before, it may take a little practice to get the tension right, but using our merino yarn is a joy on the giant needles you can whip it up in no time at all!
This pattern also has all the information you’ll need to process your giant pompom blanket – it is knit in unspun wool so it is essential that you process your finished blanket to avoid shedding.

- 1.5kg Giant Merino Yarn by Lauren Aston Designs plus 30g for each pompom (14 pompoms in total)
- 40mm knitting needles
- 7cm pompom maker
- Tapestry needle
- (optional) Bathtub or big container
- (optional) Drying Rack / Plastic Sheet / Banister
