This large scale Leopard print cushion is HEAPS of fun! We’ve taken Leopard print up a notch with this large scale colourwork design, enabling you to knit up a fabulously fun envelope backed cushion.

Similarly to the original ‘Wild Child’ design this leopard print uses three contrasting colours in a simple colourwork pattern, the rows build up quickly to create a beautiful leopard print design that works amazingly well with our other Born To Be Wild patterns for a whole herd of fun!

Choose the three colours you want to knit this baby in and off you go! Keep it traditional or go wild with brights – our top tip though, it’s worth having one lighter/darker colour as the background so that the ‘spots’ really stand out. We can’t wait to see which colour combo’s you go for!!

All of our kits come in a 100% natural cotton, ethically sourced LAD bag stuffed to the brim with;

  • 200g Lauren Aston Designs Super Chunky Yarn – main colour & back of cushion – available in a hank or ball*
  • 2 x 50g balls Lauren Aston Designs Super Chunky Yarn – ‘spot’ colours
  • Pattern & instructions (including colourwork chart)
  • (optional) 12mm needles
  • (optional) Tapestry needle
  • (optional) 40x40cm feather cushion pad

We source our yarn from happy sheep. Due to its many magical properties and the fact that Lauren is allergic to a lot of other wool, we only use Merino.

Merino sheep are not native to this country so the wool itself is provided from farms around the world, however we are very careful where we do source our fibre from. Our Merino is from South America and the South African Cape and we don’t buy from farms that mules their sheep.

The best quality wool comes from happy sheep.  If a sheep has a poor diet and general poor health its fleece will suffer. Both the quality of life for the sheep and the quality of wool it produces are hugely important to us. We have strong relationships with our suppliers to ensure that we can trust them and their practices. Merinos shearers are all trained well to do it as efficiently and kindly as possible and the sheep are a lot happier once their 5kg fleeces are off!

Due to current circumstances we are not currently able to provide yarn wound into balls. This option will be back soon!
