10mm Circular (40cm Cord), 15mm Circular (60cm Cord)
Small, Medium, Large, Extra Large
This knitting kit is perfect for a confident beginner, as well as being a brilliant project for more experienced knitters. Knit on circular needles in the round, means there is no sewing up at the end so you can get wearing straight away!
The pattern contains 4 sizes ranging from UK 6-28. You can knit it to the length that suits you, go for ultra cropped, waist-length or longer. The cinched-in waist sits well wherever you finish knitting. The gentle balloon sleeves and flattering round neckline finish off the style perfectly. We’ve knit this jumper up in two-tone and all in one colour, and whatever you choose, the Drop It From The Top (Down) Jumper will soon become a staple part of your wardrobe!
The jumper fits true to size so we recommend going with whichever size you’d normally wear. You decide on the length you knit so if you’re going to go much longer then you may want to add another hank or ball of wool.
- Please note that if you’re choosing two colours for your jumper, the main colour in the yarn options will be for the bottom of the jumper, and the accent is the top of the jumper (see images)
Small (UK 6-10): 48cm wide approx
Medium (UK 12-16): 57cm wide approx
Large (UK 18-22): 65cm wide approx
Extra Large (UK 24-28): 72cm wide approx
You decide on the length you would like.

We source our Merino yarn from happy sheep.
Merino sheep are not native to this country so the wool itself is provided from farms around the world, however, we are very careful where we do source our fibre from. Our Merino is from South America and the South African Cape and we don’t buy from farms that mules their sheep.
The best quality of wool comes from happy sheep. If a sheep has a poor diet and general poor health its fleece will suffer. Both the quality of life for the sheep and the quality of wool it produces are hugely important to us. We have strong relationships with our suppliers to ensure that we can trust them and their practices. Merino shearers are all trained well to do it as efficiently and kindly as possible and the sheep are a lot happier once their 5kg fleeces are off!
You can now choose to have your yarn in a hank or a ball!
Our Great Balls of Yarn are beautifully wound so you can start knitting straight away. Instead of spending your valuable time winding them yourself when you could be starting on your latest project, or having the worry of tangling up while you’re knitting, these balls are expertly and beautifully wound by us, for you.
Each hank/ball is around 200g (and 130m) and is best knit on 10mm-15mm needles.
If you choose to stick with hanks of yarn, most of our customers find it easier to wind them before knitting. Snip the ties holding the hank together and you’ll find the end of the yarn. Pop it over the back of a chair, a door handle or your knees and wind into a ball, before starting your knitting.
