Pick Up and Knit, Shaping, Knit
These incredible ‘Sock it to me’ Lounge Socks can be knit up in a matter of hours with this fun & fabulous knit kit.
Using Lauren Aston Designs Super Chunky yarn and Double Pointed KNITTING needles, these lounge socks are the perfect pair to slouch around in. Available to make in a whole myriad of colours you’ll soon be gifting them to the entire family!
The pattern included in the knit kit is suitable for intermediate to advanced knitters. It uses Double Pointed needles for the lounge socks, which is another way of knitting in the round, but on more needles. The socks are knitted from the cuff down, and the heel is attached at the end, which makes it a little easier to manage than normal sock patterns.
The knit kit includes 2 x colours to make the ‘colour pop’ socks as pictured, but you also have the option of adding an extra ball if you would like to make your socks longer or add a stripe.
Choose from plain, two colour, striped, colour pop heel, long, short or somewhere in-between. The options are practically endless so you really can create a sock to suit your personality!
The pattern included in the knit kit talks you through lots of different styles and options should you wish to be more adventurous! We’ve also got some handy visuals to show you how much more or less to knit depending on what size sock you want.
Our Lounge socks are adaptable to suit all foot sizes. Our basic pattern is fit to UK size 5/6 but we advise you on how to make them smaller or larger within the pattern.

We source our Merino yarn from happy sheep.
Merino sheep are not native to this country so the wool itself is provided from farms around the world, however, we are very careful where we do source our fibre from. Our Merino is from South America and the South African Cape and we don’t buy from farms that mules their sheep.
The best quality of wool comes from happy sheep. If a sheep has a poor diet and general poor health its fleece will suffer. Both the quality of life for the sheep and the quality of wool it produces are hugely important to us. We have strong relationships with our suppliers to ensure that we can trust them and their practices. Merino shearers are all trained well to do it as efficiently and kindly as possible and the sheep are a lot happier once their 5kg fleeces are off!
